Burdman Group, Inc. provides Community Support Program services to individuals living in Mahoning County.

The recipients of the program's services are individuals who are experiencing the disabling effects of a serious mental or psychological disorder. They may also have secondary developmental or substance abuse problems. Individuals served may have difficulty performing a variety of essential daily living tasks.

Community Support Program services are designed to assist an individual to gain access to needed medical, social, educational, vocational and other essential services. Services are also designed to support an individual in the residential environment of his or her choosing.


Community Support Services Provided

Referral and linkage to needed or desired services.

  • Each individual receiving community support services will develop an Individual Service Plan (ISP) with his/her community support program staff person.
  • Monitoring and coordinating overall service delivery to client.
  • Support and assistance in activities of daily living, shopping, cooking, etc.
  • Advocacy to help the client communicate his/her needs to other providers /agencies.
  • Crisis intervention to help the client access necessary services in case of an acute exacerbation of symptoms.
  • Coaching and teaching to help the client learn essential life skills.

BURDMAN GROUP receives partial funding from the Mahoning County Mental Health Board, Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board and the Youngstown / Mahoning Valley United Way
